Complaint on PSM's delay in registration

KUALA LUMPUR: The Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) pro tem committee has lodged a complaint against three parties including Home Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, over the delay in the party's registration.

Pro tem secretary S. Arutchelvan said the complaint was submitted to the Public Complaints Bureau yesterday for failure to keep their word, not acknowledging the party's reminder letters and for bad intention.

The complaint was also against the Registrar of Societies and Home Ministry senior official Hamzah Mohd Ros.

Arutchelvan claimed that when the committee submitted an appeal letter against the rejection, Hamzah said that the appeal process would take a month after which there would be a reply.

"After five months we still have not received any reply. We are lodging a complaint because we feel our appeal has been purposely delayed," he said.
