Probe co-operative, urges Ibrahim

JOHOR BARU: The authorities will be asked to investigate a co-operative which promises 50% returns to investments in six months, and, at the same time, requires those who sign up to be PAS members.

Umno supreme council member Datuk Paduka Ibrahim Ali said he had received a report on the co-operative--Koperasi Mahasiswa (Kosis)--which appeared to be active in the Klang Valley.

"I view the matter seriously and will personally lodge a police report against the co-operative if its operation is illegal," he said after opening a two-day seminar on investment organised by students of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Skudai, yesterday.
