Kita mahu tanya Tajul. Kamu mahu apa? Kamu mahu kebenaran? Kamu tahu tak Si Rafidah itu rasuah?

Kalau benar kamu mahu kebenaran, kamu harus suruh polis siasat dakwaan terhadap Rafidah dan Diam.

Kalau tidak, duduk diam-diam.

KUALA LUMPUR: Police should question Parti Keadilan National Youth chief Mohamad Ezam Mohd Nor over his claim that classified government documents are hidden overseas, Datuk Seri Mohamad Tajol Rosli Mohd Ghazali said.

The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department said police should determine whether there was any truth to the allegation and if Ezam had any motive in threatening to make public the documents.

"We need to know if the allegations are true, if the documents are really being kept overseas, before we investigate government officers," he said, adding that the claim could be a political ploy to divert voters' attention in view of the coming general election.

Ezam had said at a ceramah that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had hidden five or six boxes containing documents that could implicate politicians.

Tajol Rosli also raised the question of what could happen if secret documents which were stolen fell into the wrong hands, adding that they could be used to blackmail politicians and important people in the Government.

He was speaking after presenting prizes to winners of the National Day logo competition yesterday.

Rosli Ismail, an assistant manager of The Mall's graphic design department was the overall winner with his entry which won him RM5,000.

Tajol Rosli said the Government could not begin investigating officers over the matter without any proof, saying "there are perhaps one or two bad officers but most of them are good, responsible and honest."

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Megat Junid Megat Ayob said he did not "see anything that needs to be hidden" when Cabinet meetings were transparent.

In Ipoh, Mentri Besar Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib said if the police did not investigate Ezam, others would do the same and take out government documents.

In Jitra, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Ibrahim Ali proposed that the Government introduce the death penalty for those convicted of stealing government documents.

He said such actions were "treachery of the highest degree" and said he would submit a proposal to the Umno supreme council to urge the Government to introduce a Treason Act.

In Kuala Kangsar, International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz said she was not bothered by the police report lodged by representatives of the Students Council of Malaysia and the National Students Action Front against her with the Dang Wangi police on Saturday.

"They can lodge hundreds of police reports because I have nothing to hide," she said, adding that she believed the action was motivated by the opposition.

On the allegation by Ezam that government documents stashed overseas were handed over by government officers, Rafidah said Ezam should admit that it was his own work.
