Time with family first, says Guan Eng

By Devid Rajah

MALACCA: Former Kota Melaka MP Lim Guan Eng said yesterday he wanted to spend more time with his wife and children following his release from jail.

Lim, speaking at the Malacca DAP headquarters here, hoped that when his children grow up they would understand "what happened to daddy."

"Though I was very bitter and angry at first, I have learnt not to allow the bitterness and anger to eat me up," he said.

Lim, who has three children--Marcus, three, Clint, seven, and Rachel, eight--said he needed a quiet weekend with his family.

The former DAP deputy secretary-general was released from Kajang Prison on Wednesday after serving one year of an 18-month jail sentence for sedition and publishing false news.

Lim also said he was not bitter towards the Prime Minister because his fight was not against "one person but against injustice in the system."
